Making a separate departure, Kevin and Joe Jonas were also spotted meandering through security at LAX airport en route to the big kids concert at the Obama inauguration - with Joe sporting a fashionable t-shirt with the imprint of a stop sign and the words "Don't Stop Believing" on it.

Of the inauguration show to be hosted by Michelle Obama, Nick tells, "It's absolutely an honor to be able to perform. For me, I've always talked about a future in the White House someday, so to be able to go back again should be fun."

Adding to her point, Welfare of Stray Dogs Chief Executive Abodh Aras told press, “It’s not only Pamela Anderson but a lot of children have also been writing to the commission saying that one should have the policy of sterilization rather than killing stray dogs. Killing has proved to be ineffective in terms of bringing down the stray dog population and human rabies death. It’s not just from the dog point of view but also from the human point of view.”

They had dancing and fireworks - definitely one of the best New Year’s Eves that I have had. We took out jet skis, and I went parasailing. The view was amazing from that high up. Girl Next Door Kendra Wilkinson apparently doesn't want to be persona non grata over her candid Q&A in Us Weekly, so now she's looking to clear up her remarks about living with Hugh Hefner and sneaking sex away from the Mansion.

"I'm more upset at myself with what I said," Kendra tells E! News. "I'm really bad at interviews, and anyone who knows me knew I meant no harm...I'm a goofball. Mostly, I'm very sorry to have hurt Hef...Playboy made me who I am, and Hef has done more for me than anyone else.

"In my heart, I will always love Hef and Playboy."

Kendra was so sorry, she stopped by the Mansion to apologize in person. "Hef was hurt, but he understands," she says. "He knows me and knows what came out of the article was not me at all."

And about those sex-on-the-side remarks?

"I said that I snuck sex every now and then, and I can't take that back," she says.

Regarding her relationships with former Mansion mates Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, Kendra said she personally apologized to them as well. "We are all doing so great these days, everyone is happy and doing their own thing."

That includes Madison's burgeoning romance with magicmeister Criss Angel. "I like Criss very much, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they got married," says Kendra.

And even though each of the three Girls is working on a solo act, Kendra says, "We will all be together forever."

As for whether Papa Playboy will walk her down the aisle at a Mansion-based blowout, that remains to be seen.

"I'm still trying to think about all that stuff," she says. "I am waiting for Hank [Baskett, of the Philadelphia Eagles]. Hayden Booted From Bar, Calls Cops for ID Back

After being caught in the wrong place at the wrong time—and most unfortunately, at the wrong age—Hayden Panettiere had to make do as her own hero last month.

The 19-year-old Heroes star had to call police to a Suffern, N.Y., nightclub on Dec. 23 after getting kicked out of a 21-and-over venue and having her driver's license confiscated.

Panettiere, accompanied by six girlfriends, entered the NV Lounge at roughly 9:15 p.m. via the employee entrance and lasted about 10 minutes before security spotted and carded her.

"At that time we asked her and her friends to leave," NV Lounge owner John Reznick tells E! News, adding that the actress cooperated by giving her license to an employee.

It was at that point, Reznick says, that Panettiere was informed of the venue's policy to hand over confiscated IDs to the Suffern Police Department.

Hence her need to call the cops to the scene to retrieve her license ASAP.

"When my officers arrived on the scene we questioned Panettiere," Det. Craig Long tells E! News. "I asked her if she tried to buy alcohol and she denied it. Panettiere told me that someone opened the side door of the nightclub so she could go inside and say hello to friends, not buy drinks."

The detective says his officers "examined the ID and verified that it was proper ID for Panettiere [and] then returned the ID to her. She said she needed it to travel to California the next day."

From California, her pressing travel plans ostensibly included hopping a flight with costar-boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia, as the duo spent several days in Bora Bora over the holidays.

There was no comment from Team Panettiere on the ID snafu.

While no doubt an unpleasant experience, the incident did no lasting damage to Panettiere's record. NV Lounge did not press charges against the actress, maintaining that the club was only following proper procedure to protect its liquor license.

Still, while Panettiere may now regret the nighttime pit stop, the feeling is not unanimous.

"We were all excited to have her there," says Jon Turco, whose band was headlining the NV Lounge that night. "It's a shame she didn't get to stay and enjoy the show."

Jonas Brothers Will Perform at the Grammys!

The Jonas Brothers will have plenty to be nervous about come Grammy night.

Not only are they first-time nominees, but they'll be making their Grammy Awards performance debut, too!

The brotherly trio just signed on to belt out a tune when the awards are handed out Feb. 8 at L.A.'s Staples Center (and telecast live on CBS), a source exclusively reveals.

The song in question is being kept under wraps for now. But we have a couple of guesses...

"Love Is on Its Way," from their upcoming movie, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, is reportedly being released in the U.S. when the flick hits theaters Feb. 27.

Or there's the newest single, "Tonight," which they performed at the American Music Awards in November. A video for the tune will debut next Monday.

The Jo Bros are up for a Grammy for Best New Artist against Adele, Duffy, Lady Antebellum and Jazmine Sullivan.

Just the other night, Kevin, Joe and Nick presented at the Golden Globes. Sadly, we didn’t get to see—or hear—them sing, because the Globes do not include musical performances.

Prison Break Is Ending

It's official. Prison Break is coming to an end.

"Prison Break had a hell of a run, but the run has ended," Fox president Kevin Reilly just told reporters at the TV Critics Press Tour. "This will be the last year of the show."

The news was somewhat expected, given the four-year-old series' downturn in the ratings this season. However, according to Reilly, the decision was made from a creative standpoint. "The show has just played out. You get to a point creatively where you feel all the stories have been told, and you want to end strong and not gimp out in the end of the season."

So exactly how many more episodes will we get? And what about a movie?

"We've got our remaining batch of four episodes, and there are a couple more they're contemplating."

Those "couple more" hours could possibly be presented as a TV movie, as Fox did with 24 earlier in the season with 24: Redemption.

"It just got down to the point where a lot of the stories have been told, but they'll go out strong," Reilly told reporters.

I asked Reilly if producers have a specific game plan for the end, and he replied: "They have a really cool ending, actually. I know where they end, and it's a hell of an idea."

Meanwhile, good news for Fringe fans: Reilly said he has no plans to pull the plug. "It's a keeper," Reilly told reporters. "I don't think there was a tougher time period than Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Even though Fringe had a lead-in, they had to perform every week—and they did. If you follow the show week to week, you won’t be disappointed."

Does Blake Lively Deserve the Cover of Vogue?

Serena van der Woodsen, er, sorry, Blake Lively landed her first Vogue cover for the fashion bible’s February issue.

What's this? A CW star on the cover of high society’s monthly glossy, and it’s not even Leighton Meester/Blair Waldorf/the brunette one with the cute headbands? How can this be happening?! At least, these are some of the reactions around the Internet.

Like most things printed on paper (ew, paper!), the self-important magazine has been losing ground for a while now, even sparking rumors that editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is retiring and being replaced by her French Vogue counterpart. So they gotta keep it fresh over there. (See: Jennifer Aniston on the cover with the tabloidy headline “What Angie Did Was Very Uncool”?)

The question is, did they pick the right hot, young star to move magazines?

Well, sure, and we’ve got a few reasons.

First of all, at least Vogue is finally covering a socialite (or social, as we learned last night on The City) that we know and care about. Sure, Serena van der Woodsen is not real, but neither are the ladies who lunch that usually fill the pages.

Second, with its skinny jeans, riding boots, headbands and Chuck Bass suits, Gossip Girl has way more influence on fashion trends than the magazine. It’s like Vogue is playing catch-up—especially evident in Blake’s profile, in which writer Alessandra Stanley attempts to explain what this Gossip Girl thing is. It’s kinda cute, actually, the way she reassures Vogue’s stuffy readers it’s OK to watch Gossip Girl because the New Yorker said so—just don’t let them know it's on the CW.

Third, they really did make Blake look gorgeous, and it’s nice to see the 21-year-old star with brushed hair. Sure, the Old Hollywood glamour look is so played out, but what else were they going to do with her? At the very least, it's nice to see her in something non-Little House on the Prarie/Stevie Nicks.

Last, the Gossip Girl world—with its rich, exclusive society, fancy-pants parties and opium-den getaways—is exactly the type of world Vogue actually believes it lives in. The show and the mag are soul mates, really, destined to make normal people feel badly for not having privileged bloodlines or this season's must-have $800 shoes. It's amazing there hasn't already been an episode where Blair and Serena are fighting it out for a Vogue profile.

So what do you think? Does Blake deserve her cover, or should it have gone to her frenemy, Leighton? Or maybe anything CW should be banned from the pages of Vogue?

Katy Perry on Split From Beau: "It Hurts Right Now"

Katy Perry is hurting.

The typically perky pop princess didn’t hide her feelings about her split from boyfriend Travis McCoy during an acoustic performance last night at L.A.'s Hotel Café.

Katy came clean while explaining the inspiration for her new single, "Thinking of You."

“It means a lot to me,” Perry said of the song. “It's one of those slit your wrists songs, like one of those R. Kelly songs like 'Real Talk.' Like when you break up with somebody and you don't wanna move on, but you have to move on."

She continued: "And sometimes you find yourself making out with somebody else and you feel like you're cheating. But you're not cheating because you're broken up. And I know being a girl, I've had sex with a guy, and been thinking about a different guy the whole time. That's 'Real Talk.' And even though you're broken up, it still feels like cheating. And it hurts right now."

Perry and McCoy, the lead singer of Gym Class Heroes, called it quits just before New Year's after dating for about a year.

Perry, who went on with the show despite suffering from a nasty cold, also performed a heartfelt tune that included the lyrics, “You know I loved you, you know I loved you, you know I loved you. Someday I wanna be a missus, but it's not yet quite right."

She then likened men to artichokes. “Leafy on the outside,” Perry said, “and after a lot of leaves are pulled, maybe there’s a heart.”

After the show, Perry told us she can’t help but open up on stage.

"Anytime I do music, I do it all from the heart,” she said. “I don't hold back."

E! News confirms that Howie Mandel was hospitalized Monday in his hometown of Toronto after experiencing an irregular heartbeat—not after suffering a minor heart attack, as some Canadian outlets were reporting.

"Howie is in the hospital being monitored for an irregular heartbeat but doctors expect him to be released and back to work tomorrow," a rep for the 53-year-old Deal or No Deal host said in a statement. "He did not have a heart attack."

Mandel was reportedly in Toronto shooting scenes for his second foray into real-deal TV, the Candid Camera-inspired Howie Do It, which premiered last week.

Lisa Edelstein from House just popped on the carpet for a nanosecond. Hair is perfectly pulled back. A black Gianfranco Ferré dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Edelstein is FUNNY! She started getting ready this morning when her hair squad arrived at 9:30. "There are more pins in my hair! I can't go through the metal detectors."

And speaking of security, Edelstein said it was intense trying to get on the red carpet today. "It was practically like a gynecological exam," she cracked.

Watchmen Doomsday Clock Stops Amid Deal Talks

We're still not sure if we'll ever be able to watch Watchmen, but at least the sideshow is entertaining.

With the release of the anticipated comic book flick in jeopardy amid a blistering battle between rival studios, lawyers for Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox gave fanboys a glimmer of hope Friday, announcing that settlement talks were progressing nicely.

Claiming it still held the movie rights to the famed Alan Moore graphic novel, 20th Fox filed a lawsuit last year seeking to block Warners from releasing the film. This, after director Zack Snyder had wrapped the $150 million project and Warners had set a March 6 release date.

Last month, U.S. District Judge Gary Allen Feess gave Fox a key victory, preliminarily ruling that the studio had a claim to an ownership stake and hinting that Watchmen could be shelved if the two sides didn't work things out before the Jan. 20 trial.

And that led to today's hopeful news...

Per court papers, Fox attorney Louis Karasik says the studios have accepted several of each other's key demands and talks were surprisingly "productive."

But while the two studios try to make peace, Watchmen producer Lloyd Levin broke out the gasoline and matches.

In an open letter posted on the website HitFix, Levin says Fox is trying to cash in after deeming the project "unfilmable."

"One reason the movie was made was because Warner Brothers spent the time, effort and money to engage with and develop the project," he wrote.

"If the project had been sequestered at Fox, if Fox had any say in the matter, Watchmen simply wouldn't exist today, and there would be no film for Fox to lay claim on. It seems beyond cynical for the studio to claim ownership at this point."

Fox quickly pooh-poohed Levin's letter.

"We appreciate Mr. Levin's passion for this project, but he has neglected basic facts and legal rulings," Fox said in a statement. "There is no question of who is right and who is wrong. That has been decided through the litigation that we had hoped to avoid, and we refer interested parties to the court's ruling to confirm these statements."

In other words, give us a piece of the action and Watchmen will be suiting up as scheduled this spring.

Taking the judge's recommendations in stride, legal eagles for Fox and Warner Bros. asked Feess to postpone today's status conference until Monday afternoon so they could continue hashing out a compromise over the weekend.

In new interview footage of Sarah Palin released on YouTube this week, the Alaska governor gets not only folksy but downright forceful in unleashing her opinions on the two women most responsible for molding her less-than-flattering public persona, calling out both Katie "What newspapers do you read?" Couric and doppelgänger extraordinaire Tina Fey.

Palin was interviewed in her Wasilla home for conservative filmmaker John Ziegler's new documentary How Obama Got Elected, and claimed that Couric and Fey spent election season not only "exploiting" her but "capitalizing" on her sudden fame.

Not that Palin herself was without fault.

The politico admitted that while she knew after her first session with Couric that the interview "didn't go well," she was forced by those "in that upper echelon of power brokering in the media…to go back for more." She said she was quite aware that the move "was not a wise decision."

Palin went on to say that she never watched the interview as it was broadcast—or, as she puts it, as CBS "spliced it together"—but she did seem to finally have an answer, sort of, for why she chose not to disclose her reading list.

"Because, Katie, you're not the center of everybody's universe."

As for Fey, Palin was shown a clip of the in-character comic saying on Saturday Night Live that marriage was meant to be "a sacred institution between two unwilling teenagers."

Palin responded by saying that "the mama grizzly rises up in me" when such comments are made about her daughter Bristol.

"I did see that Tina Fey was named entertainer of the year and Katie Couric's ratings have risen…That's a little bit perplexing, but it also says a great deal about our society."

Angelina Jolie may want to keep practicing her sore-loser death stare for Sunday's Golden Globes.

The official Golden Globes website may have accidentally revealed yesterday that Anne Hathaway will take home the statuette for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama. There was a star published next to the Rachel Getting Married nominee's name, which indicates the winner.

The snafu disappeared shortly after popping up, Just Jared reported.

"In the process of preparing for Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association web team inadvertently marked a nominee as a winner," read a statement posted yesterday on the Globes site. "The mistake was immediately corrected."

When Hathaway was named Best Actress in a tie with Meryl Streep at last night's Critics' Choice Awards, VH1 cameras caught Jolie giving an icy stare during Hathaway's acceptance speech.

Jolie, along with Kate Winslet and Kristin Scott Thomas, was also a nominee.

Sunday, Jolie and Hathaway are up against each other once more for the Golden Globes trophy.

We have to say we feel badly for Annie H. Not because of Jolie, but what's worse—not knowing if you’re going to win or thinking you've won but then, come showtime, you don't?

Hathaway's rep did not comment about the HFPA's website snafu.

Per the Hollywood Reporter, the new deals will also increase the fivesome's small-screen longevity, adding an additional year to their original seven-year contracts. The lucrative new deals follow months of negotiations with producer 20th Century Fox and coincide with a ratings uptick for the comedy.

Angelina Jolie lost hard-core at last night's Critics' Choice Awards. They even gave out two Best Actress awards and they couldn't fit the Changeling star in there. Instead, the critics chose to honor Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep.

And Angie did not look too happy about it. While Anne stuttered through a rambling acceptance speech highlighting her fellow "celluloid sisters" (which is a considerable improvement from her “process metaphysics” lecture earlier this week), Angelina made no attempt to hide her disdain, and we love her for it. Usually actors use their acting skills to feign joy for the award show victors, which is no fun for us.

We weren't able to make out the exact meaning of the staredown, but we guess it went something like this: "Did I mention you ruined a perfectly good dress with that giant napkin?" Family, Friends Honor Life of Jett Travolta

In the end, John Travolta and Kelly Preston wanted to keep their son Jett close to their hearts and home.

Relatives and close friends gathered Thursday for a private memorial service at the family's Ocala, Fla., estate to say goodbye to the 16-year-old, who died suddenly last week after suffering a seizure.

James Gandolfini, Garth Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood, Forest Whitaker, Lisa Marie Presley, Kirstie Alley and retired baseball star Cal Ripken Jr. were among the 100 or so people in attendance, according to the Ocala Star-Banner.

A female minister from the Church of Scientology was the only one who spoke during the hour-long service, which was held in a large tent set up outside the Travoltas' house and began around 4 p.m., a source told the newspaper.

When the service ended, Preston and Travolta, who had arrived with daughter Ella Bleu after the other guests were seated, kissed a large photograph of Jett that was set up behind the minister's podium.

Members of the press crowded outside the gates of the Jumbolair Aviation Estates, where residents can pilot their private planes practically up to their front doors, but the proceedings remained closed to outsiders.

Attendees were screened by black suit-clad security guards before being allowed to approach the Travoltas' house.

"The family is doing an incredibly good job keeping this private. With all the media here, no one's been able to get much," New York Post reporter Reuven Fenton told the Star-Banner.

Caterers and florist trucks had been passing in and out of the complex throughout the day, while neighbors and other well-wishers left mementos and flowers outside Jumbolair's main gate.

Today's service was expected to adhere to the Travolta's Scientologist faith, which a rep for the church said mainly entails a celebration of Jett's life and an acknowledgment of his "right to move on."

Jett's body was cremated, and his family returned to Florida with his remains on Monday.

Was there any doubt that fans would remember 2008 as the year of the Caped Crusader and his gnarliest nemesis yet?

The Dark Knight went five for five and was named Favorite Movie at the 35th Annual People's Choice Awards, which returned to its usual star-studdedness Wednesday after an '08 broadcast held at the height of the actor-supported Hollywood writers' strike.

The serious Oscar contender was also rewarded for its awesomeness with honors for Favorite Cast, Action Movie and Onscreen Matchup, which spotlighted Christian Bale and Heath Ledger. Bale was also deemed the year's Favorite Superhero.

"Thank you very, very much," said Bale, flanked by Aaron Eckhart and director Christopher Nolan, upon accepting the evening's top award. "And on behalf of all of the cast from the movie, thank you very much to the fans. Here's to Heath, thank you."

Also indicating the people's enjoyment of a good walk on the dark side in '08 was their choice for Favorite TV Drama, House.

"I have no idea who these people are," a tuxedo-clad Hugh Laurie, surrounded by castmates and crew, said in accepting the honor. "This is just a small representative sample of the many, what, 200 or so, people who work so hard to make the show House. They couldn't be here, because this is all the tuxedos we've got."

Laurie also had a chance to make his feelings about the people—"Really, I'm in favor of them"—known when he won for Favorite Male TV Star earlier in the evening.

Samantha Who? star Christina Applegate, in accepting the female counterpart of that award, thanked her many fans for their support during her recent battle against breast cancer. "It didn't go unnoticed, thank you," she said.

Queen Latifah, apparently not burned out by last year's celebrityless awards show, returned as host of the event at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium and later helped accept the award for Favorite Movie, Drama, with some of her Secret Life of Bees costars.

The honoring kicked off with an only-in-L.A. moment, as Ellen DeGeneres stepped in to present the award for Favorite Funny Male Star (to Adam Sandler) in place of a tardy Kate Hudson.

"She's in traffic, she's 40 minutes away, so...let's wait," DeGeneres deadpanned. "That's no way to sell a movie, Kate."

The pertinent zingers continued a few minutes later as she accepted the award for Favorite Talk Show Host.

"And to my roommate, Portia, thank you very much, as well," the no-longer-legally-married DeGeneres said in wrapping up her acceptance speech, referencing the passage of Proposition 8 in November.

While only a relative handful of the more than 40 categories were addressed during the two-hour broadcast, the purely fan-driven kudosfest honored the heck out of the stars who showed.

Among those on hand to grab their heavy little trophies were Carrie Underwood, the most-winning individual of the night with three awards, including top female singer, Favorite Star 35 & Under and best country song for "Last Name"; Favorite Female Movie Star Reese Witherspoon; Robin Williams, who won Favorite Scene-Stealing Guest Star for his murderous turn on Law & Order: SVU yet still failed to capture the win for most annoying use of accents; and Kid Rock, who toted the Favorite Rock Song award home for "All Summer Long."

And lucky for her, Hudson arrived in time to accept the award for Favorite Leading Lady from Gavin Rossdale and wish her son, Ryder, who turned 5 today, a happy birthday.
