After the trophies were handed out last night, the fun was just getting started at the Beverly Hilton. In Style and Warner Bros threw a bash that brought out big names from the night and a bunch of other stars that skipped the awards portion of the evening. Never one to miss a party in one of her family's hotels, Paris Hilton got a chance to show off her style, while Elizabeth Banks met up with her former costar Sarah Chalke. Gal pals Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria, and Kate Beckinsale caught up and shared a laugh while Emile Hirsch took the opportunity to show off his mustache to Molly Sims. Blake Lively had her fellow Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen in the house, and Leo looked happy to unwind with a drink after the long ceremony with Alan Horn, the President & COO of Warner Bros. It was just one of the many star-studded parties of last night.

While the Golden Globe Awards was quite an event to behold, the real action kicked off after the show when celebrities flocked to the Sunset Towers afterparty.

Stars like Pierce Brosnan, Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Megan Fox were all spotted kicking back and relaxing in the afterglow of this year’s awards.

Anne Hathaway was busy showing off her new beau, while Globe winners Mickey Rourke and Kate Winslet looked victorious as they meandered around the party.

A newly-reunited Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes also made an appearance following Katie’s final performance on Broadway earlier in the day.

Also adding some eye candy to the evening’s festivities were Christina Applegate, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Sophie Dahl, Gerard Butler, and Colin Farrell, among many others.

With plenty of heartfelt moments keeping things interesting, the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards have named this year's winners - with Kate Winslet, Mickey Rourke and "Slumdog Millionaires" taking home the show's top prizes.

Held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the night saw its most emotional moment when the late Heath Ledger was named as this year's Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.

Of the posthumous award, "Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan accepted the award saying that he was doing so with "a mixture of sadness and incredible pride."

The "King of California" cutie was sans “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” funnyman Jason Segel, who she's been linked to following their appearance side-by-side at the Critics Choice Awards on Thursday night.

The two posed side-by-side at VH1’s 2009 Critics Choice Awards at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, with insiders telling that love was in the air.

Meanwhile, Miss Wood also recently spoke about the long stretch of awards shows in the next eight weeks, telling: “It really didn’t hit me until today when I was in the (dress) fittings. It dawned on me what was coming up: Golden Globes are coming up, awards season, oh yeah.”

2:30 p.m.: It's boiling on the red carpet. L.A. temps are supposed to be about 80 degrees today. No celebs just yet, but the bomb squad is doing a sweep. Dogs and scary-looking guys in camo fatigues carrying massive guns.

The Ernst & Young accountants walking by with the all-important silver briefcases.

3:00 p.m.: Bingo! Celebrities! Tudors star and nominee Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Handsome!

Lisa Edelstein from House just popped on the carpet for a nanosecond. Hair is perfectly pulled back. A black Gianfranco Ferré dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Edelstein is FUNNY! She started getting ready this morning when her hair squad arrived at 9:30. "There are more pins in my hair! I can't go through the metal detectors."

And speaking of security, Edelstein said it was intense trying to get on the red carpet today. "It was practically like a gynecological exam," she cracked.

She added, "They checked my car like I was a drug dealer or something."

3:16 p.m.: Grey's Anatomy newcomer Jessica Capshaw is wearing a fuchsia Prada minidress.

We talk Grey's and recent criticism that the show has taken a turn for the worse.

"Incredible storylines are coming about because it's been five years of total immersion," Capshaw said. "I don't think there is anything wrong with experimenting."

Reading the Writing in the Bookie Notepads? Initial reports had Cruise not attending the Globes. But wife Katie Holmes, who's finishing off her Broadway run, urged her husband to go, Cruise said on The View, and so he says he will. Lousy odds or no.

Tightest Race: Best Drama Actress, per BetUS.com, which has Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married), Meryl Streep (Doubt) and Kate Winslet (Revolutionary Road) in a dogfight. Who gets the edge?

Hathaway, who, if you asked the terribly British Brits at the Guardian, could use the acceptance-speech practice.

Don't Be Surprised If... You're not surprised by the other big Globe winners. Oddsmakers expect Sean Penn (Milk) and Penélope Cruz (Vicky Cristina Barcelona) to do what they've done all award season: win.

Most Irrelevant Snubs: That The Dark Knight isn't up for Best Motion Picture, Drama and Christopher Nolan isn't up for Best Director on Sunday no longer matters. After snagging nominations this past week from Hollywood's top alphabet organizations (DGA, PGA, WGA), both are locks for top Oscar nominations.

Most Irrelevant Category: Best Motion Picture, Comedy. BetUs and Ladbrokes aren't even taking action on it. And, no, this does not bode well for In Bruges' Oscar dream, it was noted ironically.

Most Muddled Storyline: Fox News columnist Roger Friedman is calling on SAG voters to cast a Best Actress vote for Winslet for The Reader, a movie for which she's getting the Best Supporting Actress push, because he thinks she could win the Oscar for that role and not for Revolutionary Road, the movie for which she is getting the Best Actress push. Trying to clarifying things, New York Magazine declares the idea stupid.
